Joe Bazyouros has been working in music and liturgical ministry since the age of 15. He began as a pianist for Sunday Mass, and then worked his way into other ministry roles, including cantor and choir director. Joe served as Director of Liturgy and Music at St. Frances of Rome Church in Azusa for two years and as Director of Music at St. Martin de Porres Church in Yorba Linda for seven years. During his tenure at St. Martin de Porres, he served on the Music Advisory Board for the Office for Worship for the Diocese of Orange, and on the Diocesan Liturgical Commission, where he also served as chair for three years. He most recently served on the campus ministry team at the USC Caruso Catholic Center, working as their Director of Music for over four and a half years. Joe also currently serves on the Liturgical Commission for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
A native of Los Angeles, Joe received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Loyola Marymount University, specializing in Voice and Choral Conducting, and then went on to receive his Masters in Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Southern California. He is an avid lover of coffee and Italian food. Joe and his wife, Marie, live in La Mirada with their four children.
