The Cathedral is delighted to welcome Jisung Kim as Guest Organist on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 1:00pm. The 25-minute recital is free of charge.
Organist Jisung Kim studied in Seoul, Cologne, Paris. Most influential among his teachers have been Viktor Lukas, Michel Chapuis and Naji Hakim.
After his debut concert in Europe in 1994 at Cologne Philharmonic hall in Germany, he has given concerts throughout Europe as well as in Korea, Hongkong, China, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, USA, South America, Africa, and Middle East.(about 75 centuries)
He was performance of the complete organ works of Bach, Buxtehude, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Brahms, Franck, Saint-Saëns, Guilmant, Messiaen.
He is Professor of Organ, Improvisation at Seoul Theological University in Korea and is frequently invited to give lectures and master-classes in many universities and to be juror in many International Organ Competitions.
