Msgr. Antonio Cacciapuoti was born in Naples, Italy. He completed his studies in Theology in Rome before making his way to America. After completing additional studies at St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, he was ordained for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles by Cardinal Roger Mahony on June 9, 1990 at St. Vibiana's Cathedral.
His first assignment was as Associate Pastor at St. Paschal Baylon Parish in Thousand Oaks. He then served at St. Raphael Parish in Santa Barbara before being installed as Pastor of Christ the King Parish in Los Angeles in July 1999. In 2010, he became Pastor at St. Bede the Venerable Parish in La Cañada, where he served for the last 12 years before coming to the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.
As Pastor of the Cathedral, Msgr. Antonio looks forward to meeting and getting to know the wonderful members of the Cathedral community, as well as the many visitors and pilgrims who visit this House of Prayer for all Peoples. In his words: “United in faith and filled with the Spirit, we journey together towards Heaven.”
