Freiburg Cathedral Girls´ Choir at the Cathedral

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear the Freiburg Cathedral Girls’ Choir, as they perform live here at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels at 4:00pm on Sunday, September 3, 2023.

The Cathedral Girls’ Choir is celebrating its 50th Anniversary and is traveling from their home in Freiburg, Germany, to select locations in the United States. The 38 young singers raging from 12 to 22 years, will perform an array of gorgeous sacred choral works that are sure to touch the heart and soul! 

Admission will be a good will offering of $10 at the door (no one will be turned away). Parking will be a $10 flat rate.

The Freiburg Cathedral Girls' Choir was founded in 1973 and has been an integral part of music at the Cathedral ever since, performing at regular and holiday services throughout the church year. Under the direction of Martina van Lengerich from 2003, the choir has made many European and international tours, television and radio appearances, and CD recordings. It has also won the 8th German Choir Competition in the "Children's Choirs 13 years and under" category, and sang for the visit of Pope Benedict XVI to Freiburg. It is regarded as among the best girls' choirs in Europe.
