Episcopal Ordination Live Stream

- The live broadcast of the Episcopal Ordination of Bishop Albert Bahhuth, Bishop Matthew Elshoff, OFM Cap., Bishop Brian Nunes and Bishop Slawomir Szkredka will begin at 12:45pm on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. We encourage everyone to join us virtually and share in the joy of this special event.

- The Ordination will be livestreamed on this page, on youtube and on the Cathedral and the LA Catholics facebook pages. This sacred occasion marks the appointment of new bishops who will play a vital role in guiding our spiritual community. We invite you to join us in prayer:

- ADMISSION:
  Due to capacity limitations, we regret that only those with tickets in-hand will be permitted inside the Cathedral for the Ordination on Tuesday, Sept. 26. Those wishing to support the Bishops-Elect in person are invited to attend the Solemn Vespers in the eve of the Ordination at 6:00pm on Sept. 25. Click for more information.
  
  ARRIVAL & PARKING ADVISORY:
  Access to the Cathedral campus will be limited on this day. There will be no 12:10pm Mass. Ticketed attendees are reminded to bring their tickets and to follow all arrival instructions provided with the tickets. Additional parking is available for a fee at the Music Center and the Walt Disney Concert Hall Garage. Public transportation is also advised.
  
  Additionally, for your safety, there may be a security bag check for those attending the Ordination. No large bags or backpacks will be allowed inside the Cathedral.
  
  ABOUT THE BISHOP-ELECT:
  On July 18, 2023, Pope Francis named named Msgr. Albert Bahhuth, Father Matthew Elshoff, OFM. Cap., Father Brian Nunes and Father Slawomir Szkredka, auxiliary bishops of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The appointments were announced in Washington, D.C. by Cardinal-designate Christophe Pierre, apostolic nuncio to the United States.
