A new art exhibit honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe by sacred artist Lalo Garcia is now open at the Cathedral. “Un Pincel Guadalupano” (“A Guadalupan Brush”), featuring 13 art pieces including a palm statue and banner is located adjacent to the chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, which houses the only known relic of the tilma or cloak of St. Juan Diego in the U.S. The exhibit features images of the Virgin of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego and will be open to the public through December 31, 2022.
For 491 years, her image has been a symbol of unity, peace, compassion, and hope for people around the world.
