“Our Lady of Guadalupe was given to us by the Lord, and she was given to us in all times, not just the times of St. Juan Diego, the peasant to whom she appeared and on whose “tilma,” or cloak, the winter roses she caused to bloom left her image.” (Archbishop José H. Gomez) The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels is hosting the Pilgrim images of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego as they begin their annual journey throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. In honor of this special occasion, we invite you to offer your prayers through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas, and St. Juan Diego and to have a candle lit for your intentions and placed at the foot of these special images. Funds received from these donations will support the annual Cathedral Celebration of the Feast Our Lady of Guadalupe in December. Don’t miss this special opportunity!

In celebration of the Patroness of the Americas, the Cathedral Gift Shop invites you to reflect on our Blessed Mother to become more deeply aware of the presence of God. Lalo Garcia is one of many Cathedral artists who's love for his native culture combined with his faith and commitment to preserving the folklore of Mexico are reflected in his unique compositions. Currently, he is one of the eleven commissioned artists selected by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to create artwork for the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. On the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we welcome Our Lady of Guadalupe into individual homes as we virtually witness Lalo Garcia's image of the Patroness of the Americas projected on the Cathedral plaza. This image is now available in poster print on the Cathedral Gift Shop's online store. Visit www.cathedralgiftshop.com to order your print today!
