Standing in the midst of downtown Los Angeles, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels serves the total Archdiocese of over 5 million Catholics. As the heart of all 287 Parish Churches and communities, it is the place where the Archbishop celebrates the major Liturgies of the year with clergy, religious and laity.

The Cathedral serves as a "model Church for all Parish Churches" in the style and content of its liturgical celebrations. In design, art and furnishings, the Cathedral is rich in cultural diversity in a city in which Sunday Mass is celebrated in 42 different languages. Adult Confirmation

Adult Confirmation Peparation Process Offered at the Cathedral (Available in English or Spanish)
The Cathedral is offering an eight-session Adult Confirmation Preparation Process. It is open to baptized Roman Catholics who have celebrated their First Communion, are 18 years and older and for whatever reason, have not celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation. Annual Celebration of Cultures Mass: "A Communion of Communities"
Saturday, September 16, 2017 9:30am (pre-procession)
This annual event, coordinated by the Office of Ethnic Ministries, celebrates the vast cultural diversity of the Catholic Church of Los Angeles, and the unique gifts that different ethnic groups bring. Archbishop Gomez will preside at the 10 a.m. Mass (streamed live), with the pre-procession starting at 9:30 a.m.. Themed "A Communion of Communities," it is open to ALL!. 13th Annual Los Angeles Catholic Prayer Breakfast 2017
Tuesday, September 19, 2017;
Tickets are still Available! Join us on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, as hundreds of Catholics from across the Southland attend a morning of celebration of faith and prayer at the 13th Annual Los Angeles Prayer Breakfast at the Cathedral. The program will begin with Holy Rosary at 6:30am, Holy Mass at 7pm and an edifying keynote speech. Dr. Scott Hahn, Catholic Theologian, author and professor is the scheduled keynote speaker. Annual Red Mass: Catholic Legal Professionals

The entire legal community is invited to the 35th annual Red Mass at the Cathedral on Tuesday, October 17 at 5:30pm. A tradition dating back to the 11th century, this annual Red Mass is widely attended by judges, lawyers and officials of all faiths so as to invoke God's blessing and guidance in the administration of justice. Representatives of the judiciary and public officials will participate in the liturgy. Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuellar will be the closing speaker. The Christ Child of Cuzco (El Santo Niño de la Mascaipacha)
